McDonald’s boasts a new circular economy project from its headquarters in Austria, which consolidates the group’s sustainability strategy on an internetional level. With the aim of converting all disposable packaging to sustainable materials, McDonald’s is replacing plastic straws with paper straws.
To optimise the use of resources, it has developed a limited edition collection of recycled plastic swimwear, characterised by a fabric made from surplus plastic straws already in stock combined with post-cosnumer plastic waste collected from the oceans.
