Levi’s: clothes made of hemp and other circular material

New Levi’s collection that use natural, recycled and circular materials. It is emblematic of the company’s continued commitment to innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry.
The collection includes a pair of jeans, a trucker jacket and shirt made with a 70/30 cotton-to-cottonized hemp blend, and T-shirts made of 100% organic cotton or made of a recycled cotton blend, the bluer one is made from recycled blue jeans and the white one is made from post-industrial cotton.
The hemp went through a process developed by fiber technology specialists that softened the material, giving it a look and feel that is almost indistinguishable from cotton. It marks an important sustainable step as the environmental benefits of hemp have been known – it requires far less water and land in the growing phase and has a smaller footprint than other natural fibres.
