Lamps made with red cabbage leaves

A collection of table lamps made from a circular material from a renewable source: the red cabbage leaf.
Studio Nir Meiri and designer Vaidehi Thakkar designed the collection with the aim of exploring and developing a sustainable, monomaterial design concept using a natural material.
The process involves the selection and separation of the leaves, which are immersed in water-based adhesives and treated to develop antifungal properties, are then molded and dried at high temperatures to evaporate moisture. The natural veining and colours of the plant create interesting light effects and represent an added value in aesthetic terms.
