As part of its sustainability strategy, EasyJet has undertaken to reduce its environmental footprint. The latest initiative has seen as protagonist the uniform of the cabin crew and pilots, made with a fabric composed of 100% recycled PET obtained from post-consumer plastic bottles.
The new fabric is highly abrasion resistant and elastic. Forty-five bottles are used for each uniform, reducing CO2 emissions by 75% compared to virgin raw material.
The production of the new uniforms uses energy from renewable sources.
