The Ecoracer Sailing Series project launched by Northern Light Composites (nlcomp), aims to find more sustainable solutions for the marine industry. The composite materials commonly used in the construction of hulls, including, for example, fibreglass, are difficult to recycle at the end of their life. The start-up presented the Ecoracer 30 circular boat, made of recycled rComposite that guarantees recycling at the boat’s end of life. Thermoplastic materials combined with recycled carbon fibre and flax fibre were used for the hull.
