Biodegradable packaging obtained from beer production wastes

A thesis project by two young designers Niko Stoll and Tillmann Schrempf from the HfG Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Design developed a circular material used in the world of sustainable packaging as a cluster for beer cans.
This material consists exclusively of grain residue from the filtration process for beer production. Due to the strong natural presence of proteins, no binders had to be added.
At the end of its life the packaging is compostable and biodegradable, as it consists entirely of elements of natural origin.
