Armchair with biodegradable shell

Designer Patricia Urquiola has created an armchair for Andreau World that respects the principles of eco-design and is characterized by the use of circular materials.
All the components of the seat can be easily disassembled, to facilitate a better management of the end of life of the product.
The three-dimensional shell of the seat is made of a thermopolymer of natural origin generated by living microorganisms, biodegradable and compostable.
The upholstery fabric is obtained from recycled PET, which comes from post-consumer plastic packaging and bottles, and is in turn recyclable.
