Right to reparation: European Parliament approves!

The European Parliament‘s Committee on the Internal Market and Consumer Protection (IMCO) voted and approved by a large majority the European proposal on the right to repair: the direction is to encourage consumers to repair rather than replace products. According to the proposal, producers must take responsibility for repairing products placed on the market.
The proposal, which is mainly aimed at electrical and electronic products, is certainly a reference for applying the principles of reparability to other types of products such as fashion and furniture.
The draft mandate will be voted on at the plenary session on 20-23 November.
