Recycled polystyrene stool

An ambitious project of achieving a zero-waste restaurant through the use of circular materials recovered into the same commercial operation.
The expanded polystyrene, which is notoriously difficult to recycle, is recovered from the boxes of the restaurant and transformed into a collection of stools made of 100% recycled polystyrene.
The boxes are cleaned, shredded into raw material and then compacted down in a mould, using injected steam. The result is a highly durable, lightweight stool that weighs less than 2kg.
