New materials for Fendi’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection

The last Silvia Venturini Fendi Spring/Summer 2024 Men’s Fashion Show was held at the Fendi Factory in Tuscany.
The accessories collection features a collaboration with Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, who used his know-how and applied Japanese craft techniques to create new versions of the Peekabooo and Baguette Soft Trunk bags, and Fendi Flow sneakers.
In each of the new models Kuma used “waranshi,” a special Japanese paper made from cotton and fibers derived from bark.
Instead, a recycled polycotton knit or waranshi paper upper, a cork insole, and a sole made of bio-based, undyed material were used for the shoes.
