Ikea presents the Musselblomma collection characterized by products designed according to the principles of circular economy. 100% of the material in this household linen collection is obtained from recycled PET bottles, 2% of which is recovered from the sea. The tablecloth is produced using about 43 recycled 0.5 l bottles, while the pillow cover is made with the use of 8 recycled 0.5 l bottles.
The goal for the well-known Swedish company was to create fabrics, minimizing the consumption of new raw materials and making products that could be recycled again at the end of their useful life, thus promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
