Felt made of recycled PET for a chair

Use of recycled and circular materials, optimisation of procedures during the production process, end-of-life study for recycling scenarios, are just some of the circular economy strategies used by a Dutch company to create a new collection of chairs.
The seat and backrest are made of recycled PET felt made from the disposal of plastic bottles, the material is transformed into fibres which are then pressed to obtain an anatomical shape, while the structure is made of steel.
The product can be disassembled at the end of its life, to guarantee the recycling of all the components.
