An Italian company is launching a ski suit with the aim of meeting the key requirements of the circular economy through the use of recycled materials and a design that takes into account the end-of-life management of the garment.
The suit consists of a jacket and trousers in a fabric made from recycled polyamide yarn, saving energy, water and CO2 emissions.
As this is sportswear that requires specific technical performance, the R&D team worked to find a similar high-performance material solution for the other components.
The padding and details such as zips, straps, buttons and stitching are made of polyamide, to preserve the garment’s single-material nature and promote its recyclability at the end of its life.
