Shoes made of microfibre scraps

Shoes made of microfibre scraps

A new circular economy project between the footwear company Re49 and the textile company Miko. The result of this collaboration is RE49 Urban FW24, a limited edition capsule collection of shoes made from production waste recovered from the manufacture of microfibre.
This is made from pre-consumer and post-consumer recycled polyester in different percentages, depending on the product and application, using a production process that exploits the action of high-pressure water, without the use of organic solvents.
Textile industrial waste, destined for the automotive sector, is recovered and used to make the shoe collection, which is made of 40 % recovered material.
Each shoe has an NFT code that certifies its origin and production steps.
