Innovation in textiles for Napapijri

A jacket designed to be 100% recycled and made of circular materials, this is the new challenge of Napapijri for the winter 2019
The innovation comes from the mono-material composition. The filling and trims are made from Nylon 6, while its fabric is made from regenerated nylon, a high-performance nylon 6 yarn recycled from discarded fishing nets and other waste materials.
Using one material allows for an easier recycling process, where fibres are upcycled without losing any of their original characteristic, which means that it can be recycled again and again.
To close the loop, Napapijri has developed a digital take-back programme. The customers have the option of returning their jacket after two years, when it will be processed into new yarn and new products.
