H&M: sneakers collection in banana fiber

H&M in collaboration with Good News, a London-based footwear brand that experiments with and uses circular and innovative materials, has launched a new collection consisting of seven unisex sneakers.
The shoes feature recycled rubber soles and different types of plant-based uppers.
The flat sneakers with inserts featuring patterns reminiscent of Portuguese ceramic tiles, are made of cellulose fiber obtained from sustainably managed forests.
While the classic model in black features a fabric upper made from banana plants grown without the use of pesticides and fertilizers.
Each model is designed and manufactured with the goal of helping to reduce waste and the environmental impact of fashion products.
