Connubia armchair with recycled polyurethane foam padding

Connubia, the Calligaris Group‘s contemporary and young brand, as part of its Greenbow programme dedicated to sustainability, has launched the Reef armchair designed by Michele Menescardi.
The internal structure is made of certified wood from responsibly managed forests following strict environmental, social and economic standards.
The upholstery is made using recycled polyurethane foam derived from the agglomeration of bulky waste such as discarded sofas and mattresses, combined with production waste from the furniture and textile industries. In addition, thermally-bonded PET fibre wadding is used for the filling, consisting of 70 per cent recycled polyester fibre, which is derived from post-consumer white polyester containers.
The fabric upholstery is made of post-consumer recycled plastic, recovered from the oceans.
