  • Subscribe to see all Trends

For the lighting industry, the choice of circular materials has never been easy. Compliance with certifications and safety regulations to which lighting products are subject, have conditioned the possibility of using alternative materials. In recent years the characteristics of materials have gradually come closer to meeting these requirements and the introduction of low-voltage lighting systems have allowed companies to consider and experiment with new circular material solutions.
What we present here is a selection of lampshades and lamps characterised by innovative material compositions that testify to the companies’ constant search for solutions that are characterised by an approach towards environmental sustainability.
Alternatives range from recycled materials to renewable materials or agricultural by-products, highlighting the principles of waste recovery and reduction. Choices oriented towards the circular economy that contribute to enhancing the design of the luminaire.
