Plant-based protein material and biopolymers

Plant-based protein material and biopolymers
Material made of plant proteins, biopolymers, and recycled rubber, with over 80% renewable carbon content. Post-consumer tyre waste containing rubber is collected, shredded and, through a chemical recycling process, pyrolysis oil is obtained. This is used as a substitute for fossil raw materials to produce polyamide 6 polymer. Characterised by a uniform structure that guarantees consistent quality from batch to batch, the material is easily adaptable to any post-tanning and finishing process as it does not require cold storage or stabilisation. It is used as a substitute for animal leather.
