Description: Wood-based materials with an open-pore texture made up of finely ground recycled wood, obtained from forest thinning and sawmill by-products. The fibres are joined from the wood’s own binding characteristics and therefore do not need any synthetic adhesives. It is a promising alternative to synthetic polymeric foams and is suitable for a hugely diverse variety of applications, for packaging, as lightweight boards or as insulating material. Can also be used a non-wood-containing lignocelluloses, such as hemp or straw.
