PolyMethylMethAcrylate. Thermoplastic acrylic resin obtained by free polymerization of methyl methacrylate. The second raw material is mainly obtained from the recycling of processing scraps from yarn industry and from polymers producers (post-industrial). Due to the low amount of post-consumer recovered material, there are no large-scale examples of recycled PMMA use and is therefore difficult to talk about the characteristics that distinguish it. The UNI standards are a reference as regards the maximum tolerable values of impurities or unwanted materials.
