NOTHCOT2235

Description: Material made of 30% cellulose fibres with 70% organic cotton. Cellulose is extracted from the plant Calotropis that produces two hollow-cellulose fibres: the pod fibres are extremely soft and light in weight, the stem fibres are strong and almost impossible to break with bare hands. All the production process is focused on environmental sustainability, from production and processing to ultimate disposal. The plant grows wildly at deserted lands with no water, no care, no pesticides. The dyeing and colour fixing processes are carried out using vegetable and natural materials, while once fibres are extracted, the waste are mixed with different substances to produce repellents. It is used to make wide varieties of fabrics - from simple knits to high end Jacquard weaves.
